Innsbruck Berg Isel Ski Jump
The Ski Jump Bergisel was built in the year 1925. Because of the
Olympic Games in Innsbruck the Ski Jump was extened in 1964, and
adapted for the second Olympic Games in Innsbruck in 1976.
The Ski Jump and the whole area around was new disgned in 2001/2002 according to plans of the Londoner architect Zaha Hadid.

Each
year, the refurbished Bergisel Stadium plays host to the annual Four
Hills Tournament in January and to a Summer Grand Prix Jumping Event.
At
the same place Tyrolean rebels were fighting several times against the
French soldiers of Napoleon in the beginning of the 19th century.
